Go from shimmering bright to warm and wide with a twist of a knob! The Tonelux Tilt plug-in is a fast and easy way of making a track sit better in a mix or make it sound "warmer" or "cooler". It's also perfect in a live situation where you need to tweak the whole mix to adjust for ear fatigue.

The Tilt Plug-in is a joint development effort between Tonelux designer Paul Wolff and Softube, bringing the famous Tonelux sound to the digital world. The innovative Tilt design was first featured on the Tonelux MP1a discrete mic preamp module and has been a godsend for engineers and producers that need to take control of their sound in a fast and effective manner.

The Tilt plug-in features not only the original Tilt design but also adds a couple of new features. A special "Live" version of the Tilt plug-in is included which is optimized for Digidesign VENUE and other live systems and contains features requested by live sound engineers. The Tilt also includes modeling of the transformer found in the MP1a mic preamp. The transformer adds a subtle distortion for bass frequencies which fattens up the low end of a track.

The Softube Tonelux Tilt plug-in is the first and only software recreation of the Tilt that is officially endorsed by Tonelux.

Controls
The Tilt is all about getting the sound you want fast and easy!

Tilt/Loud Section
One-knob EQ that rebalances the sound without changing the apparent volume of the material. Choose Tilt Mode for a filter that either tilts the signal towards the bass (counter clock wise) or the treble.

Set it to Loud and the filter will become a loudness filter that boosts both high and low frequencies, or cuts both.

Filter Section
The filter section with its two filters will further shape the sound or help you get rid of problematic frequencies in a track. One high-pass filter and one low-pass filter make up the filter section.

The 12 dB/oct lets you use a sharper cut-off for the low cut.

Output Section
Depending on which version of the Tilt you're running, the ←Tilt or Tilt Live→, the knob in the output section will be either a Gain control (Tilt) or a Boost Ceiling control (Tilt Live).

In a live situation it is often necessary to adjust the audio spectrum without changing the maximum gain of the signal, for example to avoid feedback. With the Live version, you can set the Boost Ceiling to achieve this.

With Boost Ceiling set a 0, the output will never be louder than the input, and regardless of the settings the plug-in will only attenuate, never boost.

If the Boost Ceiling is set at max (6+) it will behave just like the normal Tilt version and instead keep the apparent volume at a constant level, regardless of the Tilt control setting.

Developed by Softube and Tonelux
The Tonelux Tilt plug-in was developed by Softube in co-operation with Paul Wolff and Tonelux.

Transformer Modeling Inside
The transformer distortion from the Tonelux MP1a mic preamp is of course included in the Tilt plug-in (except for the Tilt Live version). The transformer adds a subtle distortion for bass frequencies which fattens up the low end of a track.

Optimized for Live and Real-Time Use
The Tilt Live was specially designed for live and real-time usage, making it even more CPU efficient than the already slim
