Nyutviklet "wave guide" for HF-elementet. Perfekt for produksjoner med mye lave frekvenser og i større rom - eller når du rett og slett vil spille sterkt. Bassport bak på høyttaleren. Veggmontering og stativmontering er tilgjengelig som opsjon.

"Overall the sound was clean and open, with excellent transient response, solid bass and outstanding stereo imaging. The 150W bass and 100W treble amps coped well when driven hard, remaining clear at all volumes."
NZM Magazine April/Mai 2011

Serious Studio Monitors
With Sonodyne SM 200AK studio monitors guiding your every move, you'll make better-sounding recordings. A no-nonsense professional monitor, the SM 200AK sports an ultra-rigid, curved-edge aluminum die-cast baffle that minimizes vibration and diffraction, while serving up rock-solid stereo imaging. Bi-amped with a burly 250 watts, the 8" Kevlar woofer and waveguided 1" metal dome tweeter give you impressive frequency response, with solid, punchy lows and silky, extended highs. If you're in the market for a serious reference monitor, you owe it to yourself to give the Sonodyne SM 200AK a serious listen.

True reference monitor
The Sonodyne SM 200AK studio monitors are serious professional tools. You rely on your monitors to tell you the truth about what you're recording, and the SM 200AK's do just that. Nothing more, nothing less. The SM 200AK's substantial power, superb drivers, and effective cabinet design ensure that you get an accurate picture of what you're about to record (and what you've already recorded). And that results in better-sounding recordings that translate to the world beyond your studio.

Professional adjustability
The Sonodyne SM 200AK studio monitors incorporate room-compensating bass and treble tilts as well as a bass roll-off. If your control room is on the shy side of perfect (and who's isn't), engaging one (or more) of these four dip switches will let you compensate for a "difficult" acoustical environment as well as spacial loading (corner placement, against a wall, in free space, etc.).

Serious enclosure
The SM 200AK enclosure combines the best qualities of wood and aluminum. The rigid aluminum die-cast baffle ensures that the 8" Kevlar LF woofer and the 1" metal dome tweeter are securely mounted and vibration is minimized. Gently curving baffle edges keep diffraction to a minimum. This - along with an integral tweeter waveguide - gives you precise, dimensional imaging, with exceptional on and off axis response. Step inside your mix. Walk around and touch things, if you want. Serious monitors open up a whole new world.

Sonodyne SM 200AK Features:

What makes Sonodyne so different from other monitor manufacturers is their unique experience in three areas: power amplifiers, integration of electronics and acoustics and die cast cabinet technology.

Sonodyne Power Amplifiers: Perception of monitor performance is often as much about the amps inside the speaker as the drive units. Sonodyne has gone "all out" to provide far more amplifier than is typically found inside small monitors. You' won't find tiny "digital amplifier" cards with zero headroom here as Sonodyne has included classic big power supply, high headroom class A/B amplifiers. Sonodyne amplifiers clip smoothly, play louder and exhibit fewer artifacts than digital amps.

Integration of electronics with acoustics: This skill is driven by Sonodyne's extensive home market hi-fi experience and a wide variety of active pro products for their home market. Lift a Sonodyne and you'll feel the difference immediately-this is one powerful, well built speaker! XLR inputs are correctly oriented vertically, dip switches to control ¼, ½ and full space applications as well as +/- 6dB input sensitivity settings. Past experience and a focus on quality is evident throughout.

Die Cast Capabilities: Sonodyne 50 and 100,200 enclosures are aluminum die cast, built in house. Die casting offers a huge performance advantage for smaller monitors for it provides maximum internal volume compared to thick sections of wood, a tighter seal and more rigid structure compared to wood, has fewer resonances and less ringing found in wood or folded metal structures and offers longer life and durability as small speakers tend to be moved about frequently.
