The Epiphone SG Special Satin E1 is a great way for players to discover a rock classic or obtain a stage-ready touring standby at a price anyone can afford. Featuring Epiphone open-coil humbuckers with Ceramic Magnets and available in five beautiful Vintage Worn finishes including Cherry, Ebony, Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Vintage Sunburst, and Walnut, this is the SG Special Satin E1!

Open Coil Humbuckers with Ceramic Magnets
The SG Special Satin E1 is powered by two Epiphone open-coil humbuckers with ceramic magnets. Owners of vintage SGs and Les Pauls often remove their pickup covers for a better bass response and magnetic pull. Ceramic pickups have a higher output than vintage Alnico magnet pickups and are designed to provide a tight low-end response with both a smooth mid-range and a slightly more pronounced top end tone. Ceramic magnets have been a favorite of metal and hard rock guitarists for decades. The SG Special Satin E1 has a 650R in the rhythm position and a slightly hotter 700T in the lead position. Controls include a Master Volume and Master Tone with traditional black Speed knobs and a 3-way pickup selector.

Epiphone SG Special VE -Affordable SG with a Broken-in Look and Feel
The Epiphone SG Special VE delivers classic rock tone at an unbelievable price. This solidbody Epiphone SG Special VE has the sound and gives you the no-frills, all-business looks and in-your-face tone that's made SGs popular rock guitars for decades. The double-cutaway design provides easy access to the guitar's entire rosewood-topped okoume neck. The 24.75" scale makes lightning fretboard runs easy, the quality chrome hardware keeps things in tune, and the Vintage Edition (VE) finish offers a pre-broken-in look and feel. Get your hands on the venerable Epiphone SG Special VE.

Quality tonewoods
The Epiphone SG Special VE sings with a fatness and clarity comparable to its more expensive cousins. This is due in large part to the body's poplar construction. Poplar is known for its balanced tonality and harmonic richness. The Epiphone SG Special VE maintains the legendary LP rosewood fretboard but substitutes an okoume neck, for warmth and sustain you can feel in your fingers.

Epiphone SG Special VE's vintage worn finish
Worn finishes, such as the Epiphone SG Special VE's vintage worn finish, are incredibly popular for the way they lend an air of vintage vibe to an instrument while giving the sought-after feel of a guitar that's been played for years. The vintage worn finish isn't as glossy as some finishes and mimics the way older instruments age. Its feel also helps the guitar seem smoother and faster when playing hot gigs that can cause you to sweat. And best of all, the vintage worn finish of the Epiphone SG Special VE will only look better with age.

Fat, smoking humbuckers yield uncompromising power
When you really want to cook on a solo or deliver thunderous power chords, you reach for a guitar that has a pair of humbuckers. The Epiphone SG Special VE packs that exact humbucking power. The sound is all about the warmth, punch, and midrange complexity you can only get from the pair of Ceramic-8 humbuckers loaded in your Epiphone SG Special VE. You get uncompromising power whether you're playing rhythm or digging into a solo.
